In 2018, I partnered with Solidarity of Unbridled Labour on a web strategy project for their client, Ocean Insight, a global spectroscopy company. Ocean Insight — formerly Ocean Optics — was in the midst of the rebrand, and the project was to determine how the web site should evolve to fully express the ambition of the new brand. My research included analytics reviews, stakeholder interviews, user surveys, a content audit, and competitive analysis. To embody the new brand, the site uses storytelling to present Ocean not only as unparalleled experts in the industry, but also as humanized innovators and educators. The web strategy deck synthesized the research findings and presented the vision to bring the new site to life.
